Vending Machines Business: How to Keep Your Vending Machine Shiny and New

The vending machine is one of the most popular forms of dispensing products known to man. The array of types of machines and types of products offered by vending machines is vast. Whether you own the machine or are merely purchasing a snack from the machine in your break room, vending machines are quite popular and convenient.

If you have chosen to have your very own vending machines business, it can be a very enjoyable and lucrative business decision but there are some tasks that need to be performed in order to ensure that your vending machine is of the highest quality. One such task is cleaning your vending machines. Keeping your machines clean, shiny and working properly will attract customers and ensure long-term placement.

Whether you own a pop machine or a machine that dispenses live lobsters in Japan, here are some tips for keeping your machine clean and in tip-top shape.

Unlock your vending machine. If there is a top make sure to remove it and empty out the contents. If there isn’t a top merely use the front door to gain access to the inside of the machine.

Wipe down all the arms, shelves and mechanisms using a damp, clean cloth. You may even want to add a bit of antibacterial cleaning solution to your cloth to ensure that your machine is cleaned thoroughly.

Wash the insides of the glass door with glass cleaner; just make sure to let it dry completely before closing up the machine in order to avoid streaks or foggy-looking spots.

The bottom of the machine is where dirt can build up; therefore clean out the bottom of the machine including the tray that catches the purchased products or any place where liquid overflow is gathered. Clean out these areas with a towel and an antibacterial solution then dry it with a clean, dry towel.

Put the items back in your machine and close the door.

Clean the outside of the machine as well, using a non-abrasive cleaning solution and don’t forget about the change receptacle.

Nobody likes purchasing items from a dusty or dirty machine, by following these tips you can be sure that your machine sparkles.
